About

There are lots of good blogs and websites on the Internet dedicated to virtualization technologies.  Many of them specialize on specific vendor products or a specialized subset of concepts (i.e. networking, storage, performance).  I hope to present lots of good technical articles that are aimed at seasoned virtualization veterans as well as beginners.  I will likely present technical articles for other non-virtualization technologies as well (i.e. Windows, Linux, Unix, Exchange, Active Directory, etc.).

Now a little about me…  My name is Josh Perkins.  I live and work in California.  For the last 10 years I have been working in large government computing environments as a senior level systems engineer.  My background is in Windows and Unix system design and administration.  I also have a strong background in performance analyses and enterprise storage design.  About six years ago I shifted my focus and attention to virtualization and how the technology could be used in an enterprise model to reduce capital expenditures and provide additional features and flexibility that could not be attained using physical hardware.

I currently hold a VCP on 3.5 and vSphere 4
